Alireza Abbasi
Overview
Dr Alireza Abbasi is a Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) at UNSW Canberra. He obtained his PhD in at the University of Sydney in 2012 before joining School of Engineering and Information Technology at UNSW Canberra. His research and teaching interests include project management, management science, information systems management and network science. He has written a book, three book chapters and over 100 technical journal and conference papers.
His research aims to enhance better functioning and performance of complex socio-technical systems, which primarily lies in the emerging field of Social Computing, leveraging the capacity to collect and analyse data to reveal patterns of individual and group behaviour. My research covers a wide range of topics in Computer Science, Management and Organisation Science, Network Science, Informetrics, Information Systems, and Operations Research.
